Betty Jean Berning

Ms. Berning was a loving and caring woman and family came first. After the passing of her mother, she was the matriarch of the family. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She was a loving sister, aunt, and great aunt, who will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Virginia, nee Foley, Berning; a brother, Paul berning; and two sisters, Hazel Sullivan and Dorothy Mitchell.

Surviving are her brothers, Clyde, Thomas (Sondra), and Douglas (Rosalie) Berning; a sister, Marie (Clyde) Ninness; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept., 18, 2012, at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
