Betty J. Redden

Betty J. Redden, nee Plantec, 91, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Belleville (West Frankfort), Illinois, born August 16, 1923, in Westover, Pennsylvania, passed away, Sunday, May 3, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas.

Mrs. Redden was a registered nurse, devoting her career to the care of her patients. She worked the last 17 years prior to retirement at Four Fountains Convalescent Center, in Belleville. She was a member of several motor home and travel clubs. She dearly loved her family and will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Hugh F. Redden; sister, Esther Boner and her parents, James and Erma, nee Markel, Plantec.

Surviving are her daughters, Nancy (Allen) Grace, Bettiann Burge, and Carla (Clay) McAnally; her grandchildren, Kenneth (Cyndi) Burge, Dr. Ginger (Dr. Tim Lines) Burge, Erika (Collin) Butcher, Bradley Grace, and Eric McAnally; great-grandchildren, Colton (Briahna) Burge, Holden Butcher and Clara Butcher; her sister, Jacki (Bill) Pagani; and many beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
