Carl Robert "Bob" Vail

Bob was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a musician for 35 years and supported himself playing in local clubs, including KMOX. He was a longtime member of Our Lord’s Lutheran Church, Maryville, Ill., where he played for the church for 13 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Elizabeth, nee Pillow, Vail.

Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Joan R., nee Robinson, Vail who he married on July 4, 1950; a daughter, Darcy Vail and two grandchildren, Austin and Aubrey Dreher;and a sister, Roberta Vail and many loving dear friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Our Lord’s Lutheran Church.

Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
