

Mrs. Gwinn joined the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in 1967, and served as president for three years. She enjoyed needle point, crocheting, and creating holiday baskets. She was a loving mother, who will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Oliver T. Gwinn; her parents, Walter J. and Nellie, nee Gwaltney, Frank, Sr.; four brothers, Walter J. Frank, Jr., William Frank, Walter “Butch” J. Frank, and Robert Frank; and her four sisters, Edna Rohwedder, Patsy Jodun, Joann Waters, and Mary Higgins.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Rosemarie Gwinn, of O’Fallon, Illinois; a step-son, William Oliver, of Smithton, Illinois; three step-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Carol’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Reiss Chapel in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Interment will be held at a later date in, Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
