Born on April 20, 1934, in Belleville, IL, Carol was the beloved daughter of the late Ralph Douglas and Velma Mathilda (née Huling) Dietz.
A charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Freeburg, Illinois, Carol lived a life rooted in faith and love and longed for the day she would be united with her Saviour.
She enjoyed quiet pastimes like reading and crocheting. She also had a passion for traveling and enjoyed exploring new places with those she loved. Above all, her greatest joy came from reading the Bible over and over again and spending time with her family, who will forever cherish the warmth, strength, and creativity she shared so generously.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband, George Anthony Rogers, Sr., whom she married in 1950; two sons: Timothy Scott Rogers, and Rodney Rowland Rogers; two daughters: Diane Denise Rogers, and Sharon Lynne Rogers; two granddaughters: Karen Rogers and Glory Patti; brother, Ralph Dietz, Jr.; and sister, Sharon Lynne Munro.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Terry) Price of Ironton, MO; son, George Anthony Rogers, Jr. of Fredericktown, MO; 14 grandchildren: Anthony, Ben, Carrie, April, Jessica, Shy, Nick, Krista, Samantha, Robyn, Lauryn, Sharon, Aaron, and Stephen; 30 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Rogers; sister-in-law Jan Dietz; and her best friend of over 80 years, Darling Andrews.
No public service will be held. A private burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
