Cecelia "Cece" Ann Swank

Cece was born May 2, 1941 in St. Louis, MO to Victor and Mary (Grivet) Zaiz.

She is survived by her children, Mark Barthel of Belleville, IL, Paul Barthel of St. Peters, MO and Laura (Tim) Siverly of Collinsville, IL; grandchildren, Austin, Sierra, Ryan and Mariah; great-grandchildren, Paige, Jace, Ava and Algis; step-children, Vicky (Danny) Parker of Swansea, IL, Donald Swank Jr. of Caseyville, IL and Matt (Tammy) Swank of Belleville, IL; and numerous beloved step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Barthel and second husband, Donald Swank; her parents Victor and Mary Zaiz; two brothers, Robert Zaiz and Jay Zaiz; and her grandson, Chaz Barthel.

Cece worked as a homemaker throughout her life, devoted to her loving family. She and Norman owned newspaper routes for both the Belleville News Democrat and the St. Louis Globe Democrat for many years. Later in life, Cece worked as a caretaker in home health. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

VISITATION: A visitation for Cece will be held on Monday August 1, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation, at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.
