Charles "Chuck" William Lane

He was born January 15, 1955 in East St. Louis, IL to William and Olive Lane.

Chuck is survived by his children, Jennifer Miller of Belleville, IL, William (Julie) Lane of Granite City, IL, Michael (Richelle) Lane of Bethalto, IL, John (Jodie) Holman of Red Bud, IL and Scott (Amy) Lane of Granite City, IL; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and his two former wives, Vinita and Christine.

He was preceded in death by his parents; twin sons, Mark Andrew and Jason Scott; and one granddaughter, Marissa.

Chuck worked as a devoted truck driver for 30+ years, retiring from Riechmann Transport in Granite City, IL. Trucking was more than a job to Chuck; it was his passion and allowed him to see the beautiful country over his many miles on the road. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, barbecuing, and fishing. Chuck will be missed by all who knew him.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to Wounded Warriors.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at his daughter Jennifer’s home. Please message the family for further details.

Cremation rites have been accorded under the care of Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.
