

Cliff was born January 21, 1939 in Collinsville, IL to Gillis and Mildred (Maines) Caldwell. He married Joyce Henderson on February 6, 1960 at First Baptist Church in Fairview Heights, IL. She survives and resides in St. Louis, MO.
Also surviving are his children, Jim (Kathleen) Caldwell St. Louis, MO, Cheryl Nevius of Longwood, FL, Pam (Ron) Nitchie of Manchester, MI; Paul (Karen) Caldwell of Greeley, CO; grandchildren, Sean Clough of Seattle, WA, Joshua (Lauren) Nevius Winter Springs, FL, Leah (Sean) Blanchfield of Virginia Beach, VA, Lauren Nitchie of Manchester, MI and Ryan Caldwell of Greeley, CO; and great-grandson, Noah Nevius and great-granddaughter Kailey Clough. Also surviving is his brother Eugene (Nancy) Caldwell of Warrington, PA.
He was preceded by his parents Mildred and Gillis Caldwell and brother, John Caldwell.
Cliff preached for a devoted 25 years. He pastored at Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Meadowbrook IL. He also served as the Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Niles, OH and Faith Baptist Church in East Alton, IL. Cliff devoted his life to Christ and shared the love of God with everyone he met. Although his loss leaves a painful void, his family finds comfort in knowing he is now with his Lord.
Cliff was also a talented artist who loved to paint and he enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.

Cremation rites have been accorded under the direction of Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.
