Connie C. McCoy

Connie C. (Ellet) McCoy, 67, of Lebanon, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Bette Ellet. Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Mike McCoy; her children, Susan “Brooke” (Jason) Barnett, Melissa (Vernon) Martin, Kelly (James Michael) Carter, and Daniel (Tiffani) McCoy; as well as her grandchildren, Luke, Sam and Morgan Barnett, Cali Kichline, Madelyn, Isla, and Lillian Carter, and Leland McCoy. Connie is also survived by her siblings, Wayne (Shirley) Garcia, Lowell (Susan) Ellet, and Jody (Debbie) Ellet.

Connie was a beloved woman of faith and a source of light to all who knew her. As a devoted member of Faith Lutheran Church, she found deep joy and spiritual fulfillment in being part of the Torah Club, where she explored the beauty and depth of her faith. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her every step.

Family was the most important part of Connie’s world. As a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she made it her mission to create a home filled with love, support, and care. Connie had a special gift for comforting others, especially those navigating grief, and she devoted her time and heart to lifting others during their darkest moments.

Connie cherished the simple joys of life. An avid traveler, she found peace and happiness at the beach, where she loved to bask in the warmth. She and Mike shared many adventures, particularly on their cruises to Alaska and their cherished trips to Maine. A woman of varied interests, Connie delighted in reading, crocheting, and savoring life’s little pleasures, such as her favorite chocolate coconut donut. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the life she lived and the light she brought into the world.

Connie's visitation will be held Monday, January 6, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208. A second visitation will occur on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at Faith Lutheran Church, 520 E. Hwy, O'fallon, Illinois, followed by a Funeral Service. The family invites those in attendance to a luncheon at the church immediately following the service. After the luncheon, family and guests will follow in processional to Lake View Memorial Gardens at 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208, where Connie will be laid to rest.
