

He was born in Papari, Greece and came to the United States in the 1960's, living first in Belleville, Ill., before moving to Wayne, N.J., five years ago. He served in the Greek Navy as a first engineer and prior to his retirement was an engineer for General Motors in St. Louis, Mo. He was a former active member, cantor and president of Sts Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Belleville, Ill., and a member of St George's Greek Orthodox Church in Clifton, N.J. and a life time member of AHEPA.
Beloved husband of the late Mina, nee Barduniotis, Papadopoulos. Devoted father of Patricia Papadopoulos-Pavlou M.D., and her husband, George Pavlou, M.D. Loving grandfather of Andreas Constantine Pavlou. Dear brother of The Metropolitan Alexandros Papadopoulos and the late Basiliki Georgilas. Dear uncle to many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and devoted friend.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, at Sts Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 401 Huntwood Dr., Swansea, Ill. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
