D. L. "Whitey" Morrison

He was born on June 29, 1938, in Midridge, Missouri, to Ralph and Della Mae (White) Morrison.

On August 29, 1958, D. L. married Billie "Rea" Pigg. She preceded him in death on June 6, 2005. D. L. retired as a lineman for Ameren Illinois. He had lived near Piedmont for the past five years and was formerly a resident of Belleville and Glen Carbon, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Della Mae Morrison; his wife, Billie "Rea" Morrison; two children, Kimberly Mitchell and Timothy Morrison; his sister, Lavada Harrison; his brother-in-law, Lonnie Harrison; and his son-in-law, Robert Mitchell.

Whitey is survived by his son, Gary Morrison, and wife Dawn of Piedmont; his sister, Joan Ott and husband Robert of North Charleston, South Carolina; his brother, Edward Morrison of St. Louis, Missouri; and his son-in-law, Steve Remer of Maple Grove, Minnesota.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michelle Glanzner and husband Jeremy of Cave-In-Rock, Illinois, and Amy Wilson and husband Justin of Alhambra, Illinois; seven great-grandchildren, Bobbie Lynn Pierce, Alex Tourville, David Tourville, Caitlyn Wilson, Ethan Wilson, Fayanna Wilson, and Paige Wilson; along with many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Morrison Funeral Chapel, 100 Piedmont Avenue, Piedmont, MO 63957, on July 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Second Visitation will take place at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208, on July 17, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location. Whitey will be laid to rest at Lake View Memorial Gardens
