Lyle it’s never easy to have a parent pass away.  Your Mother lived a long life of service to her family and the people in her prayerful life.  She was always smiling.  Happy and kind.  My Mother spoke with your Mother when you walked past my house to Enos school.   I have always enjoyed you and I hope to see you when you are in town .  Peace be with you. Dan and family I am so sorry that your beautiful mother has passed away.  I remember her walking with you boys on your way to Enos School.   I walked with you sometimes.  Your Mother was an interesting lady with her painted photos.  I was always glad to see your face in the crowded schools we attended. Dear Grover Family,

On behalf of the Eritrean and Ethiopian communities in Springfield, Illinois, we extend our deepest and most heartfelt sympathies on the passing of our beloved sister/mother in Christ, Darlene Grover. We were all deeply saddened by this news.

Darlene was a pillar of our community, a true woman of faith whose devotion to God was a light for all who knew her. Her gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and steadfast prayers were a constant source of comfort and strength. For many, she was a loving friend and mentor who embodied Christ's love in her every action.

Darling was truly a Godly woman and a dear friend to the Eritrean and Ethiopian Community in Springfield, Illinois. Darlene and her late husband Lyle Grover were real friends to our community and, in doing so, enriched all of our lives beyond measure. We will forever cherish her memory and the beautiful legacy of faith she leaves behind.

My family and I have been close friends with the Grover Family for over 30 amazing years.

In moments like these, we find solace in the promise of eternal life and the knowledge that she is now at peace in the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father. While we grieve her absence on Earth, we rejoice that her pain is gone and that her faithful soul has soared to heaven.

Sorry to hear this sad news.Our deepest condolences to the families.Let Almighty God be with you during this hard time the loss of my mom .MsDarlele was  telling she’s my American Mother.In 1992 when she met me the first time she prayed for me ,she took me to her home and introduced me to her dear husband Mr.Lyle .He took me to the book store for the first time and he brought me,’First Aid’ book. said ,I will be their daughter and they accept me. as real.She took me to her Church and the Pastor gave a Bible.(sorry I forgot the Pastor’s name.)She was playing piano and teaching me the songs.She crocheted a beautiful handkerchief and gave me.She was sending me Christmas Cards with Blessing.When ever I call her she blesses me and pray for my family and my country that God can give us peace.She was telling me always I will see one time with Jesus.
I really missed my American Mother.I couldn’t come to see her because of lots ups and downs.I feel bad. Mom RIP .
Thank you for your continuous  prayers for me my family and my country and the whole world to get peace.We will Miss You a lot.

Dear brother David and Family,

I was saddened to hear of the passing of your mother, Mrs. Darlene, Grover. I will always cherish the kindness she showed me when I stayed at your home during Bible school. One memory that will never leave me is how, every morning before breakfast, she would prepare a passage from the Word of God and read it to me. Her love for the Lord and her devotion to sharing His Word made a lasting impression on my life.

I also fondly remember your father, Brother Grover, and the kindness he showed me during that time. Together, they lived out their faith in such a genuine way, and I thank God for the influence they both had on my journey.

Please know that I am praying for you and your family. May the Lord comfort you with His peace and strengthen you with the hope we have in Christ. Your parents’ faith and love will continue to shine through the lives they touched.
