David "Dave" Michael Povolish Sr.

Dave was born September 1, 1958 in Belleville, IL to Alvin and Fern (Campbell) Povolish. They preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Freida Herrmann.

Dave is survived by his loving family, including his five children, Nichole (Richard) Cummings of Mascoutah, IL, Chelsea (Brennan) Hollowell of Glen Carbon, IL, David M. Povolish Jr. of Okawville, IL, Dylan Povolish of Mascoutah, IL, and Dalton Povolish of Okawville, IL; his grandchildren, Wyatt Povolish, Winston Povolish, Lucas Cummings, Waylon Povolish, Wayden Povolish, Maximus Cummings and Levi Hollowell; siblings, Chris (Chuck) Ramsey of Gurnee, IL, Marjorie (Delbert) Birkner of Lenzburg, IL and Alvin Povolish of Marissa, IL; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Most recently, Dave worekd and retired from the Defense Commissary Agency at Scott Air Force Base.

Dave enjoyed the simpler things in life, such as building fires, playing and listening to music, specifically 70s rock, throwing washers and playing card games with family and friends. He was a fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. Dave loved his family and the time they spent together. His easy-going spirit will be forever be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation for Dave will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 10:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

A funeral service will follow, at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Final interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
