David Arlen Fritzinger

David was a lifelong member of Signal Hill Lutheran Church, in Belleville, Ill. He was employed at the Belleville News Democrat, as the Home Delivery Manager in the circulation department for 32 years. He enjoyed following his beloved Chicago Cubs, collecting vintage model cars, and antique “Ford” car parts and tools. He also enjoyed attending flea markets, auctions and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Doris, nee Armbrecht, Fritzinger, and August W. and Selma, nee Folkerts, Keese; an aunt, Suellyn Fritzinger; and his mother-in-law, Jeanette Ramsey, nee Wittauer.

Surviving are his loving wife, Sandi L. Fritzinger, nee Ramsey, whom he married on February 12, 1994; his son, David A. Fritzinger; a daughter, Kimberly Ann Bertelsman; his parents, George and Darlene, nee Keese, Fritzinger; his sister, Amy (Christian) Cagas; father-in-law, C.R. Ramsey, a sister-in-law, Randi (Brian) Marquis; a brother-in-law, Troy (Susan) Ramsey; an aunt, Carol (Arlen) Juergens; an uncle, David (Cindy) Fritzinger; his former wife and mother of his son, Deborah (Brian) Clough; his canine best friend, “Heidi”; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

2 Timothy 4: 7-8

7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Funeral: A celebration of David’s life will be held at Noon at the church with Pastors Mark D. Wiesner and Jonathan A. Hemler officiating. Per David’s request cremation was to be held.
