Obituary of David Richard Ringle
IN THE CARE OF

Lake View Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens

David Richard Ringle, affectionately known to many as "Dave," passed away on July 13, 2026, in Saint Louis, Missouri, at the age of 80. Born on December 11, 1945, David lived a life rich with creativity, passion, and dedication.

David's educational journey began at Jefferson School and Belleville West High School before he continued his studies at Westminster College. His career was as diverse as it was impactful. Known fondly as "The Wine Guy" during his decade-long tenure at Schnucks, David also owned his own advertising agency and served as a political speechwriter and campaign advisor. His love for music was evident throughout his life; he was a skilled percussionist who marched with the Black Knights drum corps and later became their drum instructor. Additionally, he shared his talents by teaching percussion to high school and primary school students.

David's love for wine and percussion were not just hobbies but integral parts of his identity that brought joy to those around him. His enthusiasm for these passions left an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his children: Aaron Ringle (Sarah Winter and Kathryn Ringle), Sarah Ringle (Brian Greenwaldt and Daniel Greenwaldt), and Courtney Dockery (Mike Dockery and Sophia Ringle). He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Barbara Ringle.

David’s legacy is one of creativity, mentorship, and devotion to his family. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him
