Deborah's greatest joy was being a devoted and loving mother to her children, Matthew Lands and Amanda (Sarah) Lands Ramrup. She found immense happiness spending time outdoors, appreciating the beauty of nature, and creating warmth for her loved ones through her skillful crocheting of blankets and scarves.
In addition to her children, Deborah is survived by her sister, Mary Baum; nieces, Susan (Dewey) Barsaloux and Sarah (Brian) Snow; her sister-in-law, Brenda (Dan) Penzel; nephews, John Lincoln and Robert (Jonella) Lincoln, and Jason Greive; nieces, Dawn Lincoln, Christina (Frank) Ortwerth, and Rachel (Nick) Young; and her best friend, Jeanne Fraser. Deborah is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard W. Lands; her brother, Francis Diekemper; her brother-in-law, Arthur Baum, and her sister-in-laws, Joyce Boyd and Linda Greive.

A funeral service for Deborah will take place on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208, with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the Missouri Botanical Gardens or the American Diabetes Association.
