Delores was born December 15, 1944 in Marion, IL to Cecil Henry and Della (Holly) Jordan. She married Johnny Michael “Mike” Stroud; he survives and resides in Florida.
Also surviving are their two sons, Troy (Susan) Stroud of Leesburg, FL and Scott (Shae) Stroud of Millstadt, IL; grandchildren, Mindy (Joe) Stroud-Bauman, Morgan (Ryan) Stroud-Halstead and Tyler Stroud; great-grandchildren, Lillyana, Alexandra, Raegan, Nolan and Ryder; her one sister in Texas and her brother-in-law in Marion, IL; and several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil H. and Della Jordan and her 15 siblings.
Delores worked as a homemaker, devoted to her loving family. She enjoyed gardening, putting numerous puzzles together over the years, playing games on her computer and cooking. Above all else, her family was the light of her life; she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Delores was a natural caregiver, never hesitating to help someone in need or lend a hand where she could. Her beautiful sprit and heart will never be forgotten by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial donation may be made to Ted and Diane Brandley House, the hospice home which provided such love and care for Delores during her time there. Donations may be sent directly to 17395 SE 109th Terrace Rd, Summerfield, FL 34491.
VISITATION: A visitation for Delores will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 10:00 A.M.- 2:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.
SERVICE: A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation, at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
