

Dennis was a member of Belleville Carpenter’s Union Local 169. He was a meticulous builder and considered by family and friends as an “expert carpenter”. He was a hardworking man, who never missed a single day of work in his entire career. He was a member of the St. Clair Angler’s Association and thoroughly enjoyed fishing. He also was an avid golfer and enjoyed barbequing with family and friends. He was a loving, husband, father, grandfather, and brother; who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Steven Conner, in infancy; his parents, James and Mary, nee Schwahn, Conner; his brothers, James A. Conner, Glen E. Conner and Patrick Conner; brothers-in-law, Stephen Sharkey, Joseph Mueller, Henry Tepen, and Harry Picou; and a sister-in-law, Grace Conner.
Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia Ann Conner, nee Blinston; his daughters, Jeanie (Kevin) Dascotte and Tammy (Ian Holle) Conner; grandchildren, Melissa (Rick) Schneider and Rachel Haley; great grandchildren, Giovanni Midgett and Ryan Schneider; his siblings, Georgia Sharkey, Mary (Ed) Picou, Carol (Victor) Walter, Sharon Mueller, Joyce Brede, Judith Tepen, Michael (Susan) Conner, Johnny (Pam) Conner, Marshall (Charlotte) Conner, Cheryl (Darrel) Valperts; and Scott (Janice) Conner; a sister-in-law, Shelby (Marion) Starling; a brother-in-law, Wayne (Becky) Blinston; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral: Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, February 15, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Charles West officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
