Diane attended Althoff Catholic High School and graduated in the class of 1976. She then began her career in accounting working for Ernst & Whinney as a typist. Diane was married in 1981 and had one son, David.
Diane was a proud member of both St. Agnes and Holy Family Catholic Churches, had a strong passion for bowling, and enjoyed working at Domino’s for many years. Diane will always be remembered for her commitment to family. Whether it was going to dinners with her sisters, her daily chats with her loving son, or working with her Domino’s family, she loved being around people.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Wood and Ruth Wood (Wright); uncle, Paul Wright; aunt, Marjorie Davies; aunt, Sister Mary Audrey.
She is survived by her son, David Dickerson and daughter-in-law, Darcy Dickerson (Shytles); two sisters, Sharen (Dawayne) Sanders of Collinsville, Illinois, and Karen (Bob Walter) Turpin of Maryville, Illinois; aunt, Marilyn Cameron of St Charles, Missouri; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A visitation for Diane will be held Friday, May 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208. A committal service will take place Immediately following the funeral service.
Diane will be laid to rest in Lake View Memorial Gardens, 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Diane's memory may be made to American Cancer Society.
