Dolores Inez Pierce

Dolores graduated from Harris Stowe State College, St. Louis, Missouri, at age 52, with a degree in teaching. She was a member and taught at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, 13th and Gravois, St. Louis, Missouri and also substitute taught in Corbin, Kentucky and for St. Louis public schools. At the time of her death she was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Morris, Illinois, for the past 8 years. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, of 50 years, Elvis J. Pierce; her parents, Serge and Versa, nee Mayberry, Riester; brothers, Robert Riester, Kenneth Riester, Wilbur James Riester, and Richard Riester.

Surviving are her children, Diane (Jerry) Hill, Linda (Jim) Smith, Judith (Frank) Fouladi, and Stanley Pierce; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Ralph (Shirley) Riester, and a sister-in-law, Mary Riester.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September, 2, 2014 at the funeral home, with Rev. Nathan Reever officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
