Doris Marie Matt, 83, of Liberty Village in Maryville, Illinois passed away Sunday, November 17th, 2019. She was born June 29th, 1936 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Russell and Anna (Brookings) Staley.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Edna Weaver, Pat Jones, brothers, James Staley, Robert Staley, Bill Staley, Norman Staley and her husband of 63 years, John Matt.
She is survived by sister, Betty Goetz, brother, Richard (Debbie) Staley, niece, JoAnn (Gene) Self of Collinsville, Illinois and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Doris was a homemaker most of her life and later worked at Walmart in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
The family would like to give special thanks to Liberty Village for the excellent care Doris received, to Heartland Hospice for the amount of comfort they gave her and also to her caring neighbors, The Chor Family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 20th, 2019 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Burial will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
