Doris Louise Renken

Doris was born July 18, 1933 in East St. Louis, IL to Homer and Lola (Jackson) Lunsford. She married Thomas Henry Renken Jr.; he preceded her in death on February 26, 2014.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Henry Renken III; grandchildren, David Daughtrey Jr., Jarad Daughtrey, and Janett Renken; and six siblings and in-laws.

Doris is survived by her children, Deborah (Wayne) Shoemaker of Robertsdale, AL, David (Denise) Renken of Allen, TX and Karen (Bob) Davidson of Fairview Heights, IL; grandchildren, Jana, Jeannie, Nathan, Adam, Tammy and Becky; 21 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Fran Kammerdiener of Irving, TX and Connie Davis of Plano, TX; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Doris spent her life as a dedicated homemaker, devoted to her loving family. She enjoyed playing BINGO and other games with her family, watching and cheering for St. Louis Cardinals and listening to Elvis Presley. She was also a member of Faith Ministries Center in Caseyville, where she cherished her church family.

Above all else, Doris loved her large and adoring family. The love, joy and devotion to them all will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

A visitation for Doris will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at Faith Ministries Center, 8861 Botanical Ave, Caseyville, IL 62232.

A funeral service will be held following the visitation, at 12:00 P.M. at the church. Final interment will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the church in her name.
