Doris A. Sindel

She was a lifelong member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Belleville. She was a member of Letter Carriers Auxiliary 739 for 66 years. She was a caring, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and immensely enjoyed being with family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Adolph J. and Evelyn, nee Wollenhaupt, Kloess; a sister, Evelyn Snyder; and a brother, Larry Kloess.

Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Kenneth Snidel; three daughters, Sandra (Walter) Ortmann, of Belleville, Illinois; Sherry (Gene) Hiley, of Steilacoom, Washington; and Synthia (Terry) Kalinowski, of Fairview Heights, Illinois; four grandchildren, Kay Ortmann, Laura (Mark) Poirot, David and Daniel Hiley; two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Tyler Poirot; two brothers, Roy and Floyd Kloess; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom loved her very much.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Friday, January 8th, 2016 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Visitation will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ on Saturday, January 6th, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Drew Kramer officiating. Interment in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
