Dorothy K. Anderson, nee Ryan, 89, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, formerly of Hunting Beach, California, born September 19, 1924 in Wellesley, Massachusetts, died Wenesday, February 12, 2014 at Mar-Ka nursing home in Mascoutah, Illinois.
Mrs. Anderson was a veteran of U.S. Navy serving during WW II. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in O’Fallon, Illinois. Dorothy was a proud member of the NRA, and enjoyed swimming and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore “Ted” Anderson, her parents; George and Margaret, nee Marquarth, Ryan, a daughter, Kathleen Gerrard, and two brothers; John and George Ryan.
Surviving are her daughter, Susan Jones of Fairview Heights, Illinois, four grandchildren; Jason (Ellen) Turpening, Carrie Turpening, Susan Houchin, and Celeste Houchin, three great grandchildren; Brody, Evan, and Conor Turpening, other relatives, and friends.
