Dorothy E. Gass Brawley

Dorothy Elizabeth Brawley, nee Gass, 84, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born Feb. 4, 1929, in Pinckneyville, Ill., died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Relais Bonne Eau Community Hospice House in Edwardsville, Ill.

Dorothy was retired from the Terminal Railroad.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Brawley; her parents, Jim and Mary, nee Preston, Gass; and a sister.

Surviving are her daughters, Penny (Curt) Jung of Belleville, Ill., and Karla (Phil) Souders of Columbia, Ill.; grandchildren, Amy Ross, Ryan (Emily) Jung, and Brad Jung; great-granddaughter, Allyssa Ross; step-grandchildren, Suzanne (Rick) Gibson and Gabe (Elaine) Souders; step-great-grandchild, Braden Obszanski; brothers, Jim (Toni) Gass, Joe (Shirley) Gass, and Bill (Sharron) Gass; sister-in-law, Nellie (Ray) Ross; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
