Dorothy "Dottie" Mary Freudenberg

Dottie retired from Lake View Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home after 30 yeras of dedicated service as the General Manager.

Dottie was a devoted member of the Catholic faith. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, and was a member of St. Joseph Women's Club, Freeburg, IL. Dottie was a loyal member to the Bi-County Caring Professional Women's Organization, Optimist Club of Belleville and the Christian Women's Club.

Dottie loved spending time with her grandchildren. She had a way of making each grandchild feel like they were the "only" grandchild. She enjoyed baking, caring for others, but most of all, traveling with the love of her life, Wayne. Her family was her passion for life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aloys and Gertrude, nee Cortner, Roth; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Bill Cunningham, a brother, Donald Roth; and mother and father-in-law, William and Hilda Freudenberg.

She will be terribly missed by her loving husband of 49 years, Wayne E. Freudenberg of Belleville, IL, whom she married on November 22, 1961; her three daughters, Tami J. (Rob) Anstedt, of Mascoutah, IL, Sheri A. (Scott) Kraus of Freeburg, IL, and Jodi L. (Terry) Facenda, of Wildwood, Mo., Ten Grandchildren, Michael (Rachael) Bush, Corey (Fiancee, Kerri Travous) Anstedt, Kelsie and Madison Anstedt, Jared, Joey and Jonathan Kraus, Anna, Dominic and Andrew Facenda; one Great-Grandchild, Bradley Bush; two brothers, Wayne (Bonnie) Roth of O'Fallon, IL, Larry (Brenda) Roth of Iuka, MS, a sister-in-law, Mary Roth of Smithon, IL, and numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and many beloved friends.

Dottie's final gift was becoming a donor to Autism Research.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11 North Alton St., Freeburg, IL, 62243

Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following the visitation. Interment will be held privately with the family at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL
