Dorothy Ann Jacobi, nee Eck, 89, of Ballwin, MO, passed Thursday, September 22, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 21, 1932 in East St. Louis to Joseph and Madonna Eck. She married the love her life, Wayne O. Jacobi 72 years ago. Dottie worked at the St. Clair County Court House as her children were growing up. Her vivacious and driven personality always motivated her to do more. At the age of 50, she decided to get a real estate license. It was a perfect fit for her! She and her husband, Wayne, moved to Reeds Spring, Missouri and she sold millions of dollars of real estate around and on Table Rock Lake. Dottie was in her element. Dottie and her husband, Wayne, traveled a lot. Very often, they would travel with other couples to Florida, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and various places within the United States. Dottie loved to entertain! She and Wayne would host a large Christmas party at their home every year. Never would they cater the party. It was always important the food was prepared by the both of them. Dottie would always say that her favorite past time was shopping! Her family would reap the benefits of her past time, as she was the ultimate bargain shopper! She had a heart of gold and a giving soul. After retirement from real estate, Wayne and Dottie moved back to the St. Louis area to be closer to family. The most important element in Dottie’s life was her family. She adored her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than words can express. Dottie’s faith was paramount to her. She was a devoted member to her church and volunteered several hours a week there. Dottie’s love and generosity touched so many people. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
