

Mrs. Simpson was very active in her faith, and was a member of Signal Hill Lutheran Church in Belleville, Illinois, for over 50 years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and was a wonderful cook. She was a patient and graceful woman, who loved her family, and will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elmer E. Simpson, Sr., a daughter, Patricia Scholz, her parents, Leroy E. and Clara, nee Schneider, Lee, Jr.; and her four sisters, Lottie, Leona, Myrtle, and Doris.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Elmer E. Simpson, Jr., of Villa Ridge, Missouri and Gail (Gary) Olson, of Chesterfield, Missouri; a son-in-law, Michael Scholz; her grandchildren, Amy Simpson, Jacob (Terah) Simpson, Stacey (Ryan) Cox, Scott (Elizabeth) Olson, Jay (Amanda) Linton, and Terri Scholz; and seven great grandchildren, Ansleigh Rose, Aidan, Wyatt, Abigail, Tyler, Nolan, and Noah.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2012, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois; and from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Signal Hill Lutheran Church, Belleville, Illinois.
Funeral: Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Signal Hill Lutheran Church, with Rev. Michael Scholz officiating. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
