Eileen Patricia Hornacek

Eileen was born on August 31, 1933 in Luton Bedfordshine, England to Charles Lucas Cox and Nora Eileen (Pratt) Bentley.

They preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her former husbands, Thomas Berlinksi and Anthony “Tony” Hornacek; and her half-brother, Gordon Bentley.

Eileen is survived by her fiancé, Jim Joyce of Fairview Heights, IL; her daughter, Theresa “Terry” Knoth of Swansea, IL; grandchildren, Colleen (Clint Kohnen) Kampwerth of Germantown, IL and Casey (Jennifer) Sabaleski of New Athens, IL; great-grandchildren, Tess, Tori, Zachary, Levi, Ethan and Isaac; and her beloved Shih Tzu, Noelle.

Eileen worked as a clerk for both Venture and Spencers for many years. She was a talented organist and loved to crochet. She and Jim enjoyed dancing and making memories together.

Eileen loved her family dearly and cherished the time they shared. Her kindness and love for others will be truly missed by all.

A visitation for Eileen will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 10:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

A funeral service will be held following the visitation, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Final interment will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Randy’s Rescue Ranch in O’Fallon, IL.
