I remember Emitt from baseball and basketball at Lincoln High School. He could almost levitate to the basket. a great jumper and powerful guard. I have very clear memories of him as an athlete along with Jesse Swope...both of which should be in the IHSA Hall of Fame as far as I'm concerned. Short story....VHS could not defeat our cross town Venice team at District in all those years of seasons. We tried, we lost. God grant him Eternal Rest.
