

Mr. Parker retired after 40 years from General Box Company, East St. Louis, Ill.
He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, loved playing cards and especially watching college basketball.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Wanda J. Parker, nee Bohannon, who he married on November 7, 1948 and died on July 19, 2011; his daughter, Nancy L. Strittmatter who died on October 22, 2012; his parents, Ernest T. & Marie, nee Bradshaw, Parker; and his sister Margaret Berry.
Surviving are his two sons, Danny (Lani) Parker of Freeburg, Ill., and Steven M. (Julie) Parker of Baton Rouge, LA., and a son-in-law, Gary Strittmatter; ten grandchildren, Kelly (Tom) Garreis, Angela (Justice) Littlejohn, Jennifer, Daniel and Susan Parker, Robert Brown, Kristen (Russell) Parker-Simpson, Joshua, Jeffrey and Jacob Parker; and three great-grandchildren, Abigail and Noah Garreis and Ryder Littlejohn; a sister Barbara Stillman and a special friend Ellen (Jack) Carey; dear in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank Family Hospice for their love and support during these difficult times and for the compassion and dignity that was given to their Father.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Lake View Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Delashmit officiating.
Interment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
