

Ernie was a United States Army Reserve veteran. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, Ill., and a member of the Moose Lodge, Swansea, Ill. He loved to collect and restore antique John Deere Tractors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Victoria, nee Majewski, Restoff; a brother, Clarence Restoff; and a sister-in-law, Loretta Restoff.
Surviving are his loving wife of 28 years, Ardelle, nee Krebel, Restoff of Swansea, Ill.; two daughters, Margie (Bob) Jenning of Belleville, Ill., and Diann (Glen) Donjon of Swansea, Ill.; five grandchildren, Ryan (Angie) Foree of Swansea, Ill., Melissa (Jeremy) Schultz of Belleville, Ill., and Sherry, Ben and Dillon Donjon of Swansea, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Autumn and Amber Foree, Tyler Sizemore, and Taylor Schultz; a brother, Stanley Restoff of New Minden, Ill.; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Restoff of Bartelso, Ill., and Roselyn (Terry) Mathews of Waterloo, Ill.; brothers-in-law, Ed (Dorothy) Krebel of Dallas, Texas, and Arthur (Beverly) Krebel of Waterloo, Ill.; a dear friend, Steve (Sandy) Slack; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill., with a prayer service being held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral: Procession will leave Lake View Funeral Home at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2010, with a Mass of Christian Burial being held at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 505 Fountains Parkway, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Father Ray Schultz officiating. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
