

Mrs. Gross was a former employee of Continental Can and Von Hoffman Bindery. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Earl Gross; her parents, Peter Paul and Sadie, nee Lear, Bisso; 4 brothers Paul Bisso, Robert Bisso, Jack Wilson, and Bill Wilson; 1 sister Adeline Walker; and a grandson-in-law Jeff Babinsky.
Surviving is her daughter, Earlene (Frank) Bowen of Freeburg, Ill.; a son Earl E. Gross; 2 sisters, Mary Erlinger of Collinsville, Ill. and Dorothy (Elvis) Beckner of Belleville, Ill.; 4 grandchildren, Candace (Steve) Krausz, Cynthia Coughlin, Brieanna Gross, and Josie Gross; 4 great-grandchildren, Nicole (Jason) Pelch, Mindy (Dave) Vielweber, Heather (Aaron) Beccue, and Paige Krausz; and 3 great-great grandchildren, Aurora Gass, Reese Vielweber, and Kaden Vielweber.
The family would like to thank all the great people at the Freeburg Care Center for the 6 years of loving care given to Etta, to the workers and staff at Unity Hospice for the care given to both Mrs. Gross and her daughter, to all the family and friends who stood by Earlene’s side throughout these trying times, as well as to Dr. Shawahin and his staff.
