Fay E. George

Fay was born February 8, 1941 in Fairview Heights, IL to Fahren and Rosemand (Goedeke) Pontious. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her son, Brian Keith George, sister, Eileen (Kenny) Lindauer, sister-in-law, Mary Pontious, and her brother-in-laws, Jim Akers and Leroy Pfingsten.

Fay is survived by her children, Jimmy George of Belleville, IL, Cheri McLaughlin of Newton, IA, Corey (Stephanie) George of Fairview Heights, IL and Missy George of Carbondale, IL; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Karen (Ken) Bunch of Troy, IL, Judy Akers of Millstadt, IL, Gail Pfingsten of Millstadt, IL, Bob (Janet) Pontious of O’Fallon, IL and Dennis Pontious of Lebanon, IL.

In years past, Fay would often take her kids to Carlyle Lake to enjoy all there was to do. It made for lifelong memories for her children that they will cherish forever. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her dear friends. Above all else, she loved her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fay will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

VISITATION: A visitation for Fay will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 9:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

SERVICE: A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens. ¬
