

Felicia was a graduate of East St. Louis High School. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary Council 592, and the Red Hat Ladies Society. She founded Linus Blankets of Southern Illinois in 1997 and ran the organization for over 20 years. She received the SIU-E Kimmel Leadership Award in 2001-2002 for her work with Linus Blankets.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander Somarty and and Phelicia “Helen” (Norman Pintar) nee Kukla Somarty-Pintar; her brother, Alex Somarty; and her brother-in-law, Dearyl Copeland.
Felicia is survived by her husband, Bobby Gene “Bobby” Copeland, who she married in 1952; her daughters, Deborah (William) Adams, and Karen (Terry) Studyvin; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Greg) Jackson, Lindsey Adams (Scott Kunz), Meaghan (John) Pussehl, Jesse Studyvin (Allison Schofield) and Jonathan Studyvin; her sister, Virginia Copeland; her nieces, Diana (David) Forness, and Alyce (Scott) Lanxon, and Melissa (Tom) Zimmerman; her nephews, Cory Copeland (Kate McDonald) and Mark (Cheri) Somarty; her great nieces, Beth and Lauri; a great-great nephew, Brayden; and her sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Somarty. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Catholic Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL with final interment at Lake View Memorial Gardens. Father Clyde Grogan will officiate.
