Fernell F. Talley

Mrs. Talley loved to read every newspaper and magazine she could get her hands on from front to back to help her keep up with current events. She loved sports of most any kind and especially loved to watch her St. Louis Cardinals play. She also doted on her little dog, Lacy, who was her constant companion till the end. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother and friend, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marion Talley; a daughter, Joann Potter; a granddaughter, Tonya L. Wisely; and her parents, Charles and Josephine, nee Dammrich, Jacob.

Surviving are her daughter, Genelle (Ernie) Evans; a brother, Cleo Jacob; a son-in-law, Rupert Potter; her grandchildren, Robert(Christy) Wisely, Scott Potter, Todd (Teresa)Potter, Phelicia (Keith) Melton and Tiffany Evans; her great-grandchildren, Brittany, Stephanie, Nickolas, Brooke, Dylan, Garrett, Dawson, Jakob and Ella; and two great-great-grandchildren, Talon and Davis.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
