

Mrs. Sackett was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was active in PTA, sewing and creative crafting. Her love for crafting and sewing became a career at So-Fro Fabrics where she worked as a sales clerk for many years. Florence was an avid science fiction reader, gardener and miniature doll house builder. One of her favorite pastimes was joining her 1947 high school classmates for monthly luncheons. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Florence is preceded in death by her parents, William and Adelaide, nee Flynn, King, Sr.; her loving husband, Ralph Edward Sackett; one brother, William King, Jr.; and one sister, Dorothy Rasso.
Surviving are her daughters, Susan (Fred) Sonderegger and Patricia (George) Sharos; five grandchildren, Andrea (Jeff) Markwardt, Stephanie (Joshua Levine) Sharos, Kevin Sonderegger, Ellen Sonderegger and Nathan Sonderegger; two great-grandchildren, Amelia and Steven Markwardt; one brother, Kenneth King and her favorite lap buddy, Roxie, her Chihuahua mix.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Funeral service to be held Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Lake View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
