Frances Glastras

Frances Glastras (nee Kefalas), 92, born, September 12, 1925, in Granite City, IL, passed away, Saturday, August 4, 2018, in Fenton, MO, with her loving family by her side.

Frances was a jewel to all who knew and loved her. She married Peter Glastras and this beautiful union brought three daughters, Connie, Pam and Patty. Frances and Peter owned and operated the Peerless Dry Cleaners in Collinsville, IL, for over 36 years. A life-long member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Frances enjoyed baking with church friends after retirement. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Peter Glastras, both of her parents: Peter and Metaxia (nee Hadzigregoriou) Kefalas, and her brother, George P. Kefalas.

Surviving to cherish memories are her daughters: Connie (Michael) Hamer, Pam (Tim) McElligott, and Patty Beck; her grandchildren: Joshua Hamer, Sean (Lindsey) Hamer, Zoe (Tom Kash) McElligott, Tyler (Diana) McElligott, Andrew (Jennifer) Beck, and Jordan (Becca) Beck, her great grandchildren: Caden, Maggie, Avery, Georgia, Raphael, Luke, and Olive; her sister, Olga Kefalas Sharos, and a number of dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit from 9:30 am until 11:00 am, Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, located at 405 Huntwood Rd Swansea, IL 62226.

Funeral Service: Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, immediately following visitation. Interment to take place at Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
