I am so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I had looked forward to visiting him this summer. I had the honor of working for and with Gary for over 10 years while employed by Colonel Day's Inc. He was a man who always was very focused on the success of the business and the balance of work with his home life with his family.
He will be missed by many.

So sorry to see Gary go to soon. I worked with Gary for nearly 20 years at Frito Lay. More than a coworker I was proud to call Gary a friend. Many many times he would help me out in a jam or calm my nerves during a stressful situation at Frito Lay.
I will miss Gary and never forget his easy demeanor and smile. My condolences to all of his family.

My deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear husband, father, and grandfather. I am also from Collinsville, Illinois, and still have family there. I didn't know Gary, but perhaps one of my siblings did. Our father owned the Lincoln Mercury dealership there for 45+yrs. I as did my 6 siblings attended Collinsville High School. I have lived in West Michigan for almost 30 years and visited Caledonia several time. This is the first time I've seen mention of Collinsville in a West Michigan obit ever. I was a volunteer for 12+ years at the GRHV. I give thanks for Gary's service to our country and to you also, Karen, for your sacrifice as a military spouse. God bless.
