

George was an inspiring man. He found happiness in the simplest aspects of life. He was a government computer specialist. He enjoyed the great outdoors, playing the piano, fishing, gardening, bowling, boxing and caring for his loving wife of 60 years whom he built a life with. George was very generous and willing to help anyone. He made it a priority to make sure his family was always taken care of as well as unending donations to various organizations. Even during rough times he always maintained a positive attitude. He served his country well and was a proud member of St. John's United Church of Christ. He was an inspiration to many and will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Anna Hermina, nee Schillinger, Pike, Sr., his son, Darryl Pike and his brother-in-law Kenneth McQuinney.
Surviving is his wife, Doris, nee Vintila, Pike; his children Gerald Pike; Darlene (Mark) McIntyre; George W. (Marsha) Pike III and Laurie Pike; grandchildren Daniel (Emily) Pike, Kaitlin (Dustin) Becker and Rachele McIntyre; great-grandchild Delaney Pike; sister Wilma McQuinney and niece Lois Schmidt. George was a dear cousin and friend to many.
