He was born on September 23, 1989, in Belleville, IL, to Jamie Wilds and George Michael Redshaw, Sr.
He was known for his generous spirit and was always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter the task or who needed it. A loving uncle and a true friend, he had a big heart that extended not only to people but to animals as well. Over the years, he nurtured countless creatures back to health — from a squirrel and three baby birds to his beloved raccoon, Roscoe — often bottle-feeding and caring for them as his own. He had a natural gift for life and growth, whether it was animals or plants; everything he touched seemed to thrive.
George loved motorcycles, a passion he started with his mother and grandmother and continued on with his friends, and he enjoyed being the life of the party — quick to make others laugh and feel at ease. Intelligent and resourceful, he could fix just about anything and had a talent for turning hard work into something meaningful. It was that same drive that led him to meet his longtime girlfriend, after she posted a help-wanted ad for a landscaper and handyman — the start of a partnership built on laughter, teamwork, and love.
He had a way of making every space feel lighter, every gathering more memorable, and every person more supported simply by being himself. Adventurous and fearless, he approached life with a bold spirit — willing to try new things, take chances, and dive into whatever came his way. His humor, his warmth, and his ability to show up in the moments that mattered made him someone people naturally gravitated toward. He lived life with authenticity — never pretending to be anything other than who he was — and that genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His days were filled with purpose, connection, and the simple joys he found in helping others, caring for the living things around him, and building a life rooted in love and loyalty. Though he will be deeply missed, the stories he leaves behind continue to reflect the goodness, resilience, and heart that defined his life.
George was preceded by his grandfathers: Jimmy Wilds, and John Redshaw; and nephew, Demonta Warren.
In addition to his parents, George is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Lisa Sanchez; sister, Eliana Wilds; grandmothers: Diane Wilds, and Georgia Kushak; nieces: Khloe Scott, Promyse Wilds, and Demonse Wilds; aunt, Sheila (Reverend John) Hellrung; uncle, Shane Wilds; numerous cousins; dog, Havok; best friend, Bobby Law; and many other dear friends and loved ones.
