

Harvey proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a Parishioner at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, Illinois. He was a lifetime member and held multiple offices with moose lodge 1221. He was a member of Northwest Optimist Club holding many offices and committee chairs, a board member and dedicated bingo worker with S.A.V.E., President of the Westfield Manor Resident's Association, dedicated St. Teresa bingo worker and managed/coordinated the "kitchen crew" at the Moose Lodge for many years. After his military service, he worked for International Shoe Co., in St. Louis Mo. He and his wife owned and operated Chicken Delight Restaurant in Swansea Ill. and was well known as an agent with Miller's Mutual Insurance Co. Lastly he served as the Administrator of the Belleville Swansea Moose Lodge. Harvey held a Fellowship Degree and Honorary Past Governor with Moose Lodge 1221. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was a loving family man and dedicated community leader, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Nolen, nee Arth; his brothers, J.W. Nolen and Jimmie Nolen; and his sisters, Dorothy Barnes, Nadine LeGrand, Claretta Byrd, and Bettie Eileen Nolen; and a special friend Sue Kernan.
Surviving are his children, Michael (Cynthia) Nolen, of O’Fallon, Mo., Denise Floyd, of Escondido, Calif., Steven (Claudete) Nolen, of St. Louis, Mo., Debe Nolen, of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Jamie (William) Cunningham, of Belleville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Daniel (Sarah) Sharp, Ashley (Jason) Blanchard, Sara (Benjamin) Duncan, Elizabeth Nolen, Rebecca Nolen, Sonya Anderson, Michael (Melissa Pappas) Switala, Jr., Jennifer Cunningham, Victoria (Antonio) Cunningham, and JoAnn Cunningham; his great grandchildren, Brittany, Christopher, Brianna, Lucas, Hayleigh, Rylee, Ryan, Gerald, Terrell, and Hayley; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 at the funeral home. Entombment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
