In 1940, Irene married Albert “Jack” Wallheimer. For 30 years, Irene enjoyed working as a clerk for the United States Postal Service. She was a lifelong member of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Caseyville, IL. Irene will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, John (Sharon) Wallheimer, Ruth Haney and Walter (Denise) Wallheimer; grandchildren, Patsy Haney, John Wallheimer Jr., Kay (Greg) Lucas and Walter (Jennifer) Wallheimer Jr.; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert “Jack” Wallheimer; daughter, Alice Mae Wallheimer; grandchildren, Diane Haney and Ellis Haney Jr.; and six siblings.
Funeral service will be held Monday, February 20, 2023 at 12:00 pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with visitation from 10:00 am until time of service. Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens.
