Jackie Powe

Jackie Powe, nee Maxfield, 84, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, born on October 6, 1931 in East St. Louis, Illinois, died on March 1, 2016 at The Arbors Nursing Home, in Fairview Heights, Illinois, with her family by her side.

Jackie was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed watching and feeding birds. She loved to spend time with her family and cook for them. Mrs. Powe was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lucy, nee Kennedy, Maxfield; her loving husband of 62 years, Earl Powe;

and her sisters, Mary Mowry, Jane Greene, Billie Ewing and Joanne Walton.

Surviving are her sons, Earl R. (Karen) Powe of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Kenneth (Kylie) Powe of Poolesville, Maryland, Steven Powe of Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Philip Powe of Belleville, Illinois; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Powe, Nathan Powe, Olivia Powe, Christopher Reister, Alexander Powe, Brian Martin, and Michele (Rob) Wetzel; and many other relatives and friends.
