A letter from Jackson’s adoring parents:
We lost our beautiful and charismatic 20 year old son when his heart stopped. He sat down on his couch, leaned back, fell asleep and didn’t wake up.
Jackson was our only child and the light of our lives. He was handsome, strong, athletic, intelligent, and confident, with blonde hair and green eyes. He had a beautiful smile, a wicked wit, was fiercely independent, and lived to have a good time. Many knew him from playing football, but he was also a talented guitar player and a fantastic artist.
We loved Jackson with all of our hearts. With his seemingly endless positive traits, he had the potential to be anything he wanted. After one year of playing football at Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL, he decided to start working full-time, first at Amazon and then at FedEx, where he was still employed. He was a very hard worker and was proud to be able to support himself and live on his own. The pride we have always had for him has been overshadowed by a deep feeling of loss that now exists knowing we will never see his smiling face again.
Goodbye our beautiful boy. We love you and miss you dearly.
