Stathis, James Charles passed away peacefully Wednesday from a brief illness. He was 83.
Jim was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts. He was a resident of Belleville since 1962 and was the owner of Youngstown Home Improvement.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Anna Stathis, his brother John Stathis and a niece Stacey Peterson. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Becky, his children Charles (Lori) Stathis, Eleanor (Mark) Burns, and Natalie Stathis and four grandchildren, James Stathis, Annie Stathis, Riley Burns and Ainsley Burns.
Services: Funeral from Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, Illinois, Saturday, March 20, 10:00 a.m. to St.'s Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 405 Huntwood Road, Swansea for 10:30 a.m. service.
