Dear Lonnie and Melissa, again I am so very sorry for your loss! People say it gets easier but it takes time! I lost my oldest sister Kelly in 1999 & in 2004 I lost my next oldest sister Karin, some things you don't get over!My Mom will never be the same! Your Mom was like my Mom is, there's nothing she wouldn't do for her kids or anyone, praying for you all!! RIP Janet!!

My deepest sympathy and big hugs for this difficult time in your life.  Pain, yes,  heal also a big yes but not a day goes by that I don't think of my parents but it does get easier . Remember all the good times and it will make you smile.  If I can do anything please give me a shout.

Shirley, Jim, Lon, Melissa,  Your sister and mother was one of my dearest friends.  I guess we met about 62 or 63 years ago when your parents (grandparents, John and Violet) were building their house on Maryville Road.  It was the day, Shirley, you locked yourself in the out house.  Anyway, Shirley and I became fast friends from that time onward and Janet and I, since she was about 7 or 8 years older than me really weren't that close until afer I was married and moved on to Helen Place and we became neighbors.  I will miss your mom so much - we had so many fun, good times together sitting at her dining room table drinking hot tea, the beverage she liked best. What a good, good mom, sister and friend she was.  There are no words I can say that will make the pain of her loss go away.  Just know that time heals. She's up in the beautiful, heavenly flower garden among God's angles and is at peace. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Melissa and Kevin, I'm so sorry for your loss Melissa. I have known             Kevin and Beth for many yrs. My son Jason and Kevin were best friends.                        as well as Beth and I. I loss my mom  9 yrs ago. and it was the hardest   thing I ever had to go through, like your aunt wrote, I still want to pick up the phone and talk to her. I miss her dearly. Time does heal, it just seems for ever. She was a beautiful lady. You are in my thoughts and prayers. We also have Kevin in our prayers, at our church and at home. One thing you can be sure of is that you will have a fantastic mother-in-law in Beth.

As youngsters Janet was the only girl In ourr pack of cousins:Curt, Gene,Dave,Bill, Larry,Charles, and Verl. She was the sister we didn't have, and kept us in line. At that age she could climb trees, fish, and do all those things we did. Our old gang has now dwindled to just two: Curt and Bill. Thanks Janet for those fun times

For 65 years Janet Joan Jones-Castelli was my one and only sister.  As sisters go, we had our ups and downs, mostly ups. She stood in title as my sister, my sometimes mother in early years, and mostly my very best friend!  She loved her "prizes", i.e. yard sale or Goodwill finds of little birds, anything kitties, antique dishes, etc.  Gardening was her passion!  She called it her "therapy" and her back yard proves it.  As I walk through and look at all the beautiful flowers blooming now, each one has it's own personal story she would happily tell you about.  We shared everyday happenings and life's goings on.  I've reached for the phone so many times since (that was my daily thing to do with her) she was hospitalized, to tell her of some silly thing or see how she was feeling...only to have a rush of not being able to do that anymore.  So many memories in 65 years!  There's such a wide open gap in my life now, that I must face alone, without my best friend.  I will continue to think about the funny and happy moments we shared to keep her in my heart forever.

Janet was my dear neighbor for 36+ years, we shared life's day to day little dramas as well as the big events. 
I will miss her terribly.
