Mr. Caldwell was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was an active member of the Maryville Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon. Jessie enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Overton and Orphia, nee Carter, Caldwell, a great granddaughter, Hope Lange, two brothers; Grover and Delmar Caldwell, two sisters; Audrey Stuart and Nevada Caldwell who died in infancy.
Surviving is wife, Helen Caldwell, nee Julius, a son, Vaughn (Linda) Caldwell, a daughter, Tonja Rettinghouse, four grandchildren; Tina (Jayson Wilkins) Bailey, Stephanie (Arthur Lange) Eckmann, Jennifer (Alex Webb) Caldwell, and Ashley (Timothy) Lawrence, great grandchildren; Blaine, Bailey, and Kaleb French, Alayna Lange, and Lathan Lawrence, a great grandchild, Aiden and one on the way, a brother, Naman Caldwell, his twin sister, Maxine Choat, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
