Joan Fay Malone, (Warner), age 84, passed away on, Monday, October 26, 2026, at Keystone Place in O’Fallon, Illinois. She was born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, on March 12, 1942, to Mary Agnes and Anthony Frederick Warner. She was raised by her grandparents, “Mom and Pop”, Charles and Clara Warner.
Joan was a devoted wife of 64 years, a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt. She loved deeply, and gave without hesitation. She was a constant source of love and inspiration to those around her.
Joan was a woman of selfless love and faithful devotion, whose Christian faith was the foundation of her life and the light she shared with others. Her sacrificial spirit was evident in the countless ways she gave of herself — time, energy, and love — never expecting anything in return. Her kindness was a constant reminder of the goodness in the world and her laugh was a gift that brightened the room and lifted spirits. She is also remembered for her playfulness and is the reigning family game night Yahtzee champion!
Known by some as the Energizer Bunny, she was hardworking and energetic, always ready to help. Her residential and commercial cleaning services offered an outlet for her desire to create clean and organized spaces, always ready to head out the door with a bucket and a bag of rags ready to make things beautiful. Her idea of fun was to spend the day together washing windows!
Joan loved going on shopping adventures with Bill! They spent countless hours hunting for that special new top or perfect pair of shoes! Their favorite way to finish off the day would be with a shared treat of ice cream, which was also regularly shared with their cat Dina. She enjoyed sewing and shared that love with others as she created and adjusted various garments, window dressings, wall hangings, pillows, and needlepoint pictures which will be enjoyed for years to come. She also enjoyed baking pies, cakes, cookies, and a host of other “healthy” items.
Joan is remembered for the tireless love she gave and for the life she lived with purpose. In loving memory of a woman whose heart, hands, and spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Clara Warner, her mother, Mary Warner, her father, Frederick Warner, half-brother Robert Warner.
