

Jack proudly served in the United States Navy, during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1946. He married his loving wife, Danita, on December 15, 1946 and they moved from St. Louis to Belleville in 1955. Jack was always a very active member of his community. He served as president for an impressive number of years with the following organizations: Belleville Khoury League, Service Employees International Union Local #116, Southwestern Illinois Central Labor Council AFL-CIO and the Belleville Senior Citizens Club. He was a concrete finisher and proud employee of Belleville West High School for 20 years; where he took great pride in caring for the grounds and athletic facilities. Jack enjoyed watching sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and any good ‘ole time movies. He also enjoyed, “striking it rich on the boat” and spending time with his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Danita Coyne, nee Nester; his parents, James and Myrtle Coyne; and his two brothers, James and Robert Coyne.
Surviving are his son, John W. (Bonny) Coyne, of Millstadt, Illinois; his two grandsons, Bradley and Nicholas Coyne; a beloved friend, Rose Behrmann and her family, a brother, Thomas Coyne, of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and a brother and sister-in-law, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Services will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, December, 18, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
